Service User Guide for Oakhaven Care Home

In the wake of our Easy Read promotion in June we were delighted to secure a commission for a Service User Guide for Oakhaven Care Home, based in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

It was a fairly swift turnaround as Oakhaven required the accessible document for their Care Quality Commission to demonstrate how their communication with service users was "fit for purpose".

The final product adopted a combination of PhotoSymbols and photos unique to Oakhaven, including a picture of their care alarm and selected service users too.

It struck us at Easy Read Documents HQ that a well written (either plain English or Easy Read) Service User Guide is an essential for any care provider so we're developing a care provider consultancy product in conjunction with Intan business consultancy who are based in Harpenden, Herts.
