We’re conscious that sometimes information you provide for Easy Read transcription may be very sensitive and needs to be handled with exceptional care and consideration.

We understand our legal obligations to protect that information under the Data Protection Act 1998, and closely follow the Information Commissioner’s guidelines on data protection.

We promise to you that all information you provide – verbally or in writing – will remain confidential within IC Works and will never be communicated externally unless you expressly instruct us to do so or unless we are required to under law.

We will also take the time to establish the best way to communicate with you; for example which email address, phone number and postal address you want us to use and any other steps that you need us to take in order to protect private or confidential information.
